VAL Ministry (Visible Acts of Love) 

"Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up." I Thessalonians 5:11

A new ministry was implemented by the Deacon Board in March 2004, for the purpose of supporting and caring for believers and friends at Avalon Missionary Church. This ministry was designed for visitation and prayer to those who are grieving, in hospitals and nursing homes and those considered as shutins. As the ministry grows, other Visible Acts of Love beyond visiting may result according to each individual situation and need.

We Need You

Members and friends at Avalon are very important to whether or not VAL Ministry is successful. Our mission is to express care, concern and love for each other through Visible Acts of Love. But, needs can only be met if we have been notified; therefore, we count on you to contact us and let us know who is in the hospital or nursing home. Even if you think we already know, call or email us anyway. We would rather be sure than to let someone's need go unmet.

To be men and women of integrity and productive members of our church, we need one another. To quote the Newsboys' song, "Shine, make 'em wonder what you've got, let it shine before all men, let 'em see good works, and then let 'em glorify the Lord... SHINE"

Who To Call

VAL Cordinators and the VAL Leadership are diligently working to serve you. To ensure VAL Ministry is meeting your needs, we ask that you call the VAL Coordinators or the church office when you have a need or know of someone who does. You may also email one of the coordinators and request to be contacted to share a need. Once a need is identified, VAL Coordinators and VAL Volunteers put a plan of action in place.
