PRAYER CARDS ENHANCE OUR MINISTRY Don't forget that there are prayer cards in our attendance folders - two kinds: · One is a card you can list a prayer concern on. Our pastor will pray for your request, and, if you ask, we'll put it on our weekly prayer list. · Another is a card you can write a quick note to someone for whom you have been praying. Slap a stamp on it and drop it in the mail, and your thoughtfulness will be a source of encouragement for them this week!
PRAYER REQUEST BOX NOW AT WELCOME CENTER Our Prayer Team recently introduced a new way for you to share your prayer concerns and needs. At the Welcome Center you'll see our new Prayer Request Box, thanks to the talented woodworking skills of our own Lerland Fogwell! If you are aware of a need within our church family or would like the members of our Prayer Team, our Leadership Council and our staff to be praying for a concern, please note that on one of the prayer cards and drop it in the Prayer Request Box. We'll join you in casting that care upon the Lord and asking for His grace and power in that circumstance.

From that early start , the church has continued to grow. As a part of that growth, the Missionary Church intentionally plants churches. This year through gifts and prayer we can be involved in the start of new churches in Atlanta, GA, and Asheville, NC. There are prayer cards and offering envelopes on the Welcome Table. Envelopes can be placed in the offering plate through May 11.

PRAY FOR A PRESCHOOLER Each year we distribute prayer cards with the names of the students in our preschool. We ask you to commit to pray regularly for that child by name over the course of the school year. A number of you have taken these cards for this year, but there are still names that need someone from Avalon to "adopt" them as a prayer privilege for the year. Stop by the Welcome Center to pick up a card and begin the awesome journey of praying for a child in our school. Here's a chance to really make an eternal difference in their life!
PRAYER NEEDS: Each week the church office prepares a prayer request list for the Wednesday evening Bible study with Pastor Keith. Copies of this list are available in the Welcome table in the foyer.

May 11th- Jello or Pudding cups Thank you for your continued generosity. The "item of the week" helps us keep our food pantry stocked. For this and all the other support you provide, we are very grateful. Avalon is able to serve our own families as well as the people in our community by meeting one of their most basic needs - food. The pantry is looking for someone to help with updating their data base. If you have thought about helping at the Food Pantry but because of the time schedule were unable to this would be a great opportunity. Contact Ginny Bilby at 639-3874.
USE YOUR COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP CARD! Thank you to all those who use your Hall's Restaurant Card that benefits the Food Pantry. Hall's will be opening all their restaurants on Easter Sunday. This would be a great opportunity to use your card! If you do not have a card and would like to get involved, stop by the Welcome Center after Sunday School and before second service TODAY. There will also be a listing of all the restaurants and the phone numbers?they recommend reservations.
