The Avalon Children's Ministry Team takes our responsibility to your children seriously. We are charged to love your children, teach them about Jesus, and keep them safe. We've always been great at the loving and teaching, but safety is always an issue in any kid's program. We are working hard to make Avalon a SAFE place for your kids to be. Children's security procedures have been improved, but it is resulting in some initial confusion for parents. Hopefully we can clear it up for you.
Arrival
We ask that every parent bring their child to be registered each week in the children's ministry wing.Registration is as simple as 1-2-3!
1. Pick up your color-coded name tag at the table at the registration station (right inside the northwest entrance). 2. One tag will be clipped onto the child and one will remain with the parent/guardian for easy pick-up.Stop by the registration desk and let us know you're here. 3. We'll make sure you're all set and then send you on your way. Head to your class for a learning and worship adventure.
Pick-Up
We do ask that parents pick up children promptly after services.When picking up your child, please have the color-coded identification tag handy that you received when you arrived.The teachers and helpers will expect the same person that dropped your child off to pick them up.Simply hand the tag to the child's teacher and your child will be released to you.Be sure to pick up your child's belongings, including crafts they may have done in class, before leaving.
At each destination, you'll be greeted by loving and kind ministry volunteers who will help make your day the best it can be!
